Jeff Patton

Trainer and Consultant

Jeff Patton is a highly respected independent practitioner in the Scrum and Agile design space. He is the founder of the Agile-usability Yahoo discussion group, a Certified Scrum Trainer and in 2007 won the Agile Alliance's award for outstanding contribution - The Gordon Pask Award. Jeff currently works as a consultant, Agile process and product design coach and is dedicated to the holistic design and development of successful software products. He considers himself a “sleeves-rolled-up” practitioner of Agile Software Development.

Jeff has focused on Agile approaches since working on an early Extreme Programming team in 2000. Since then he has helped design and lead the construction of a wide variety of products from on-line aircraft parts ordering to electronic medical records. In particular he specialises in integrating effective user experience design and product management practice with strong engineering practice. Where many development processes focus on delivery speed and efficiency, Jeff balances those concerns with the need for building products that deliver exceptional value and marketplace success.
